Review content:
Ocean Grill has become a favorite restaurant for me and my family. We had visited the restaurant about nine years when first moving to Orange County and for some reason never returned until recently. The restaurant (serving lunch and dinner) is located a couple of miles away from Woodbury Commons on Route 32 in Highland Mills--a much better choice than eating at The Commons.
A friend invited me to lunch there a few months ago and I got hooked (try the crabcakes). Since then we have enjoyed many good dinners there--usually on busy Friday evenings.
Ocean Grill has an inviting feeling that is best expressed by the owner, Anton, as he warmly greets you after entering the front door. There is a well stocked bar in the front and two comfortable dining rooms. The place looks like a big house that has been extended to accommodate the restaurant.
The menu includes seafood, poultry, beef and pasta. There are nightly appetizer and entree specials--these are our usual preferred choices. Entrees are accompanied by a small green salad and vegetables. Portions won't leave you hungry and there may even be some food to take home.
Service is efficiently pleasant even on busy Friday and Saturday evenings--we even have our favorite waitress who spoils us shamelessly.
Adequate on-site parking. And, the restaurant is smart to offer many dining coupons for lunch and dinner which helps the pocketbook these days.
