Review content:
This nondescript little shop on busy Broadway in Newburgh is a former luncheonette--the booths, counter and stools are still in place. However, they sell chocolate now and we are SO lucky.
This is the real stuff...dark, light and everything in between. The chocolates are made by a chocolate master named John. HE KNOWS CHOCOLATE!
You can select from a delicious array of chocolates from a large display case up front. Nuts, fruits, sweets of every variety enrobed in chocolate. Even sugar free delights. I'm not a fan of dark chocolate but I do enjoy Commodore's.
Chocolates are boxed and ready to buy or you can hand pick an assortment. The chcolae covered strawberries are a big seller during spring--you can order ahead and pick them up. During the weeks before Christmas, John runs classes on candy canes- how to make them from scratch right in the candy factory located next door. An experience worth doing, especially with children.
Commodore ships anywhere you choose--just give them a call.
