Please don't go to H&R Block to have your taxes prepared. Most people who use H&R Block can easily prepare their own taxes online for free or cheap (even using the exact same software that H&R Block employees use). For more complex returns, you are much better off using a real tax professional, preferably with a CPA license. Many people don't realize that they can get their returns done by an experienced, established CPA firm for the same or less than H&R Block charges. And you'll know that your return was prepared by a professional, at a firm whose offices will be open year-round and will be there to handle any issues that may arise. Often the same people will work on your return each year.Some of the most botched returns I've ever seen have been prepared by H&R Block. There is absolutely no level of review.
