Review content:
We were pleased with the original resurfacing of our pool and patio decks, but when we contracted with Sundek for cover the holes left by removal of railing posts after we added a deck extension, we were disappointed. We had told Sundek we wanted the holes covered in a manner that would blend in with the rest of the patio. Upon completion, the center of the whole looked fine, but the workers scored the edges which made the holes stand out and unattractive. Although the scoring was cited in the contract, it was never made clear that the "patching" would be left that way. We were told the scoring was necessary to prevent possible cracking. When the job was finished I called Sundek and advised them that the appearance was unacceptable. I was told that there would be an additional charge for the crew to return and fill the scoring lines. I decided against the additional charge and did the work myself. Although it is not perfect, it is much better than the way it was left by Sundek. I cannot imagine any customer being happy with spots on their deck or patio with conspicuous scored lines around them.
