Review content:
I am doing a special scrapbooking for a family member. My aunt started the project a year ago and is unable to continue. It seemed that the paper that I needed had been discontinued. I drove to all the stores in my area on a Saturday and ended up 35 pages short. I was referred to the Allentown store by the Reading PA store. I explained to the sales person who answered the phone in Allentown what I needed along with SKU numbers and names. The sales person assured me that it was the correct product and I woke up the next morning ready to make the 2 hour drive up to the store. \r \r Upon arriving, I asked to buy the paper which was being handled at the front desk. It was the wrong paper. In fact, it was exactly WHAT I TOLD THE SALES PERSON I DID NOT Want. It seemed that there was a computer glich at all the stores. THe sales person kept telling me that that was the computer told her. Did it matter that I spent 20 minutes on the phone with her explaining all my issues for the whole day?\r \r The sales person referred me to Michelle, the manager. Michelle made continuous excuses for her sales person, and actually told me that I had too high expectations because ""People do make mistakes and it is HER job to defend her sales people."" She also told me that I should not be raising my voice to her. If she does not want to deal with upset customers, maybe she does not belong in a management position. \r \r It seems that Joann employees in Whitehall accept no responsibility for their mistakes, and I am guessing that that incompetence is starting with their management and working its way down the employee chain.\r \r I will no longer shop at Joann's. My money will easily be accepted at Michaels or A. C. Moore. And I will get better service as well.
