I had a bad experience at the Camp Hill Michaels store yesterday. It stemmed around the use of a personal check while using a tax ID number. While my accountant and attorney both confirmed that a sole proprietorship does not need a separate checking account to pay for materials used in business when they have a state tax ID #, Chris "Asst Mgr" insisted this was store policy. When I called three radom Michael's stores, no one else had ever heard of this policy. In addition, the corporate office for Michael's confirmed that this is not policy and will be refunding my state tax collected yesterday.\r \r While this was the issue at hand the larger issue was lack of customer service. I too am in the customer service business and would never have dreamed of talking to a customer like Chris spoke to me.\r \r I have spent just under $6,000 at the Michaels stores in the 2009 tax year. With the current economy, I am sure an competitor will be glad to take my business.\r \r No customer deserves
