I went through Liberty Mutual on the advice of a friend a few years back. Rates were good, communication was good through my agent, but when I had my accident they really showed their true colors.\r \r I cracked my front axel, my trunk and window were broken and unworkable, and it was the dead of winter- and me with a small baby at the time. Their claims adjustor came and decided it was only $1000 worth of damage.\r \r $1000 was as much as I was allotted, and I had to arrange for the towing, repairs and rental car- for which my policy only paid $20 a day.\r \r I went to their recommended repair shop. Instead of fixing the axel or trunk- the things which NEEDED to be fixed, they worked on the window and changed the tire. \r \r My mechanic looked it over and was the one to notice the cracked axel and said it was undriveable. But Liberty didn't have an appeals department? They couldn't total my car? \r \r I paid the difference for the repair of the window, and got $500 trade-in on my car. I
