I grew up traveling to the Alabama beaches from Birmingham. Hazels, be it in Gulf Shores or Orange Beach has always been a family favorite! Their food is an instant reminder of our roots and what our beaches use to be like... lined with great seafood restaurants. The staff is always pleasant... the ambiance is always entertaining with tourists or locals keeping the place crowded!!! We went this month and had the chance to see a group of snow birds at a gathering... laughing and cutting up... then one broke into song!!! \r There are certainly days at home for which I crave the Hazels breakfast bar... or better yet omelet station!!!! or Shrimp Po Boy! & Free Ice Cream.... \r On another note... my cousin was married there last September... during the midst of the oil spill... and Hazel's catered her wedding... the food was to die for... the oysters were still delicious... and as always the fried shrimp tops most of the other family restaurants we visit in the area....
