Review content:
My experience with Dr. Joanna Davis & the staff of Oakwood Endodontics left much to be desired. I've had two previous root canals and am familiar with what is to be expected with regard to root canal treatment. \r \r Dr. Davis is very gruff and neither pleasant nor personable. She did not crack a smile the entire time I was there. The treatment was rough & agressive and I've never had such a painful root canal experience. She & the assistant bickered during the treatment and even ""lost"" a tool while working on my tooth. When the treatment was over, I was given 2 Advil before I left and no adequate medicine for the pain. \r \r Michaella, one of the office staff, asked for the full amount for treatment in spite of the fact that my insurance was being billed. I had to remind her that I did have dental insurance as we had previously discussed and only then did she tell me the correct amount. You would think this might be an honest mistake, except for the fact that she did the same thing on my initial visit. \r \r The next few days were incredibly painful but I was told it was just a normal part of healing. I was supposed to return a few weeks later to finish the procedure, but instead had another dentist complete the root canal. The new dentist gave me the care that was lacking at Oakwood Endodontics & actually called to check up on me the day after treatment.
