Review content:
The doctors at Marina Pet are fantastic, particularly because they're very good at what they do and very kind. They ALWAYS let me go in back and hold my dogs when tests are being performed. I don't want to leave my dogs any more than I'd want to leave my child, and they realize and accommodate that. They take care of problems as soon as they can. They don't tell anyone ""We're booked, you can't come in until tomorrow."" They appreciate an emergency.\r \r The technical staff is WONDERFUL, compassionate and caring, and more than willing to work with owners like me, who simply refuse to leave their babies. I've learned how to hold and calm the dogs while blood is being drawn, tests are being administered, and treatment is performed. I have stayed with my animals until they're sedated, and the doctor always brings them out after a surgical procedure, wrapped in blankets, for me to hold as they recover from the anesthesia. Employees always stay while my pet recovers, and they call a cab for me when they're sure everything is OK.\r \r On the other hand, when the dogs went crazy after being boarded at some hideous kennel (our first and last time at boarding), Marina Pet came to the rescue with an INCREDIBLE trainer, Carl Wolfram, who literally saved us (and the dogs) from complete insanity. Thanks to Dr. Melcon and Dr. Petrucci for their life-saving help. Dr. Kim is fantastic too; she can identify the weirdest disorders (like backwards sneezing) in a second and reassure you that it's just normal.\r \r They treat my dogs gently, and most of the staff at Marina Pet treats ME gently, too. That's as good as I could wish for, and I'd never think of taking my pups somewhere else.\r \r I have seen these vets cry when euthanizing animals whose owners simply don't care. They cry when euthanizing ANY animal. I have seen them take in unwanted pets that people drop on their doorstep. The vets have helped animals and their owners so much in so many different ways!\r \r The hospital has a pretty good insurance plan, which helps with treatment costs. The clientele seems to love them, and I know we do, too.
