My cat was attacked in her own yard by a neighborhood bully cat and had a severe injury. My cat doesn't like car rides, strange places, dogs or people she doesn't know. Just getting her to a vet made me fearful she would worsen her injuries thrashing around on the ride and then not let them examine her. This vet location is one of the farthest from me, but I thought my cat might feel better if there not dog smells in the facility. The vet was understanding about my cat's need for sedation to get some help for her. She got the finest care and eventually healed up better than I expected given the severity of the wound. They gave her a pain patch that was suppose to last for a few days. I was happy they cared about her pain.
