My son is Dr. Tillmans patient, you know how many times he's seen her since birth. ONCE!!\r
I've given this practice way too many chances, and after my last experience I draw the line at totally imcompatence and am moving on.\r
For the past 2 years, everytime I need an appointment we wait forever to get thru on the phone, the walk in rules change constantly, the doctors and front desk staff work thru a revolving door, and at least one person is rude.\r
This last visit my son was sick with strep (this we found AFTER I had to take him to the emergency room!) and they swabbed his nose for flu.. but he had no flu symptoms. Then he looked in his ears and told me he had wax.. so I said ""take it out"", and he tells me it's too far for him to get, I'll have to put peroxide in my 4yr olds ears.. so I tell him, he'll never sit still for that, and he tells me ""but he let me look"". SHEESH, big diff between a look and loud scary sizzle noises in your ear! Then I ask why don't we look in his nose and throat and he tells me... well he doesnt have a temp, lets just have you come back at the end of the week for a follow up. WHAT?! But my kid is sick today.. that's why I left my job early. Then I show him a rash that has developed on my son that is not going away.. he looks at it and says.. hmmmm... I'll have to research that maybe have you follow up, or maybe have you go to a dermatologist... so I say fine, send me to right away since we don't know what it is and I'm concerned it may be contagious. (they called with a referal that was 4 weeks away and with the WORST dermo in town). So I ask if we can do his flu shot now since he has no temp and I have an appointment the following week and don't want to now lose 3 days of work. Well he says they don't have time and we should really just deal with one thing at a time!!! WHAT?! We didn't deal with anything! So I ask the front if there will be a charge for the ""follow up"" and she says of course.. there is a charge everything you see a doctor. WHAT?! That's not how it works at any other doctor I've ever seen... and how about I get a refund since I just paid for a visit and had NO results! So I say fine, can I get his flu shot at the end of the week during this ""follow up"" since he has an appointment for one the following week. So she tells me no because they don't have any more shots and don't know when they will!! So I ask how the heck they are making appointments for them then. I actually got a roll of the eyes. Listen, I am not a complainer and know that everyone has a bad day... but there has been such a major decline at this practice over the last few years, and having to keep the best interest of my child in mind, I AM DONE and moving on!
