One of those vets that just gets out of school and charges an arm and a leg when a course of antibiotics would have done. Thank God I didn't let them cut my dog! I went home and read online surgery is the absolute LAST resort and sure enough, the medicine worked. I would have been out nearly $5,000 if I followed Smoketown Animal Hospital's reccomendations! Amazing! They did Xrays when none were needed, labs when none were needed...very simple condition easy to diagnose.\r

READ ONLINE BEFORE CONSENTING TO ANYTHING! This place will do uneccesary tests just to jack up the bill! Hardly ANYTHING done and a $2400 bill. The next time I did it MYSELF! That's right! I did it myself the next time and saved another $2400 x 2 for a chronic condition. I am amazed how much they charge and all the side tests they throw around to try to get into your wallet.\r

Amazing what they're teaching these new vets and a for profit vet hospital chain like this. I won't be going back to VCA!
