Review content:
I hired American Electrical to do the electrical work for our entire house. I had used them in the past and had a good experience with them. Zalman gave us a reasonable price and he was quick. It also was important to me that the contractor be willing to get permits for the job, which Zalman did.
Zalman is very hands-on. He does not charm you into signing a contract. He discusses the job with you and makes sure that you know what is going on.
The people who did the work were very knowledgeable and responsible. Because the house is old, there are always unforeseen problems. American Electrical had anticipated those problems well and did a good job handling things that came up.
I did get bids from other contractors and Zalman's bid was within $100 of the lowest bid. He also was good at communicating with me throughout the process so that there were no surprises when we got the bill at the end. Everything was exactly as they had informed us it would be along the way. Any add-ons were perfectly reasonable and there were no mark-ups.
