Businiess name:  Meyer Service South

Review content:
Sort of a mixed review. Meyer has excellent customer service, beyond anything you could ever expect at any mechanic. They also provide well qualified, professional service. No doubt about that. However, they can also be extremely expensive. They recently quoted me over $860 to do a repair, which I ended up buying the parts for $280 and doing myself in an hour and a half. I'm not a mechanic, but was able to figure this out relatively quickly using youtube/internet searches. I bought my parts directly from a friend who works at GM... so I had the exact GM parts Meyer would have used. I know for sure that they could have done the repair relatively easily and within the same time frame or faster. So they were going to charge me over $500 for 1.5 hours of labor???? That doesn't seem right at all. I'm not sure if I'll ever go back. Maybe this was just a fluke, I don't know. People seem to love this place, but my trust is broken now. Also, when I asked them to break down the estimate of how much the repairs would cost... they didn't tell me how much the parts cost or labor cost. Just gave me a blanket cost for each door. I don't like being that uninformed as a customer. Do your research and know how much parts cost, and how long a typical repair takes before saying yes to a job here.
