I called D&M, needing to get a quote on getting the old cast iron plumbing in my home that had cracked replaced. Their person came out on a Friday, took measurements and said he would have a quote back to me on the following Monday. I heard nothing on Monday, nothing on Tuesday, I finally called them on Wednesday telling the person who answered that they were supposed to have given me a quote. She put me on hold, came back and said that he was working on my quote at that point and would call me back. Again, I never heard anything. I called back the next week asking about the quote. Again she put me on hold and then came back and said that they had been trying to call me and was unable to make contact. (I had my cell phone on me 24-7 and had no missed calls. I even gave her 2 more phone numbers that they could use to contact me.) Again, I heard nothing. I finally called another business, who came to my home, looked the job over, gave me a quote right there on the spot. I set up a time for this new company to do the work and he actually showed up when he said he would and did the job. D&M had told me that it would take at least a full day and possibly a day and a half to do the job. The new company did the work in under 5 hours. It has now been close to a month and I never did hear back from D&M.
If D&M had decided the job was too big for them or their expertise did not allow them to do this job, they should have said so. A reputable business just does not call when they say they will. Totally unacceptable.
