We hired Van Dam and Kruisenga based off our insurance company’s recommendation to fix a water leak that damaged our hardwood floors. Upon having the estimator from VanDam & Krusinga come to look at the damage, we were very impressed with the level of detail he went into to make us feel confident that every piece that needed to be fixed or be paid attention was addressed. Their estimate came in $1600 over the insurance company’s quote, but was approved based on the level of detail that was provided. \r Everything at this point seemed to be going well. We made the appointment to have the work done and were confident that at this point we made the right decision when it came to a contractor. \r \r Unfortunately, as the process progressed, we found out that we were very wrong. After being out of our house for five days to have the work completed, we returned to find that the majority of the work that was included in the Van Dam quote that was over and above what the insurance company
