I took my Collie here a few times and had a horrible experience after the most recent visit. I have a collie mix with long fine hair. In general this is a breed prone to tangle and slight matting but can be manageable. My collie had slight matting around the tail and ears, but nothing severe or that would develop sores under the area. These groomers proceeded to SHAVE my dog down without a phone call or consultation. Many breeders highly recommend against shaving most collies as it can tamper with the natural heat regulation inherent in these dogs. They proceeded to advise me on purchasing new brushes at their store and insisted that my dog was beyond brushing. Worst experience at a retailer, period. Very unprofessional attitude as well.
