Review content:
Morano's is a family run shop located next to the Ramsey train station (and the tracks). It is Italian influenced and the food and gourmet items are a very good thing. Their foods are delicious. All prepared in house and displayed in a large glass case in the front of the shop. There are also all kinds of pasta (fresh & dried), cheeses, oils, and specialty food items and accessories. Whew!
There are a number of items "of the day"--soups, sandwiches, salads and hot dishes available to eat in or sample a simply dizzying array of foods prepared to take home. The large menu changes daily and you can always count on finding something sumptuous to eat. Meats, seafood, salads, sandwiches, wraps, veggie dishes...all cooked and ready to heat & eat.
My family and I are huge fans of their sandwiches. Prepared on triangle rolls or a bread of your choice, the chicken salad w/walnuts and shrimp salad are our favorites.
During the Christmas holiday, the shop was absolutely packed with gourmet gift baskets. You could virtually select any combination of food items in gorgeously wrapped baskets--they even deliver! Wouldn't I love to receive a Morano's basket!!!
Sweets are a specialty here and the cookies and pastries are mouth watering good. Each holiday they offer a selection of themed decorated butter cookies which are almost too good to eat--but indulge. They are pricey but worth every delicious bite.
Having a party or need an event catered. Look no further. This is place you want to call.
