One of Adam's representatives at the time set up insurance for boyfriend and I. We received insurance for both of our vehicles, life insurance, and renters insurance all in one which totaled to a little over 1600 dollars. We shared with him that my boyfriend's driving history wasn't so great and somehow we still were approved for coverage. The representative told us that we would receive cards in the mail within a week or so and if anything changes or came up that he would reach out to us, giving us the option to continue with our coverage or not; as we were concerned with being charged more than what we paid up front. Nearly a month later we received a letter stating that we owed nearly 2,500 more which was not going to happen and after that letter they decided to send one right after, stating that they were no longer able to offer coverage after the next two weeks were up. I called/emailed the representative that I was working with, to cancel my policy and to figure out why we weren't told about the changes that were being made sooner and how very upset I was by his deceitfulness. He apologized and said he would go on and reverse the insurance back to the first day we received it, which would give us a full refund and I was okay with that. He said he would keep me updated and never really did. I reached out to him via email from March to May and each time he said, ""I'm working with the underwriters to correct this... I'll keep you posted..."" he was very apologetic, assuring me he would take care of it. I reached out to him a few more times and finally received an email on his last day stating that it was his last day and that he was going to still get it taken care of. Today I spoke with Jessica and she pretty much says, it is what it is and that we were charged correctly. My thing is if they knew from the beginning that his driving history was crap, per us letting them know as well as being able to pull it up in their system, why didn't they just deny us instead of giving us one quote for the six months, and then charging us at the new rate without informing us sooner...then making the decision to keep all of our money. That's ridiculous! I'm disgusted with the amount of running around I've had to do for the past few months, for them to tell me that nothing can be done. Clearly there was an error on their end, and shadiness on their end. State Farm, is now State Harm and will never get business from me again. The sad part is I was a previous customer prior to going in and trying to get my boyfriend insurance as well. I'm disappointed.
