Dr. Beuerlein was WONDERFUL!!! Pre-Op staff (Cindy, Another ?, Todd and Hannah) was FANTASTIC! I've never felt so important. I was pretty out of it in Recovery but I believe Cynthia was good too. My first CNA, JoAnn on 2nd East was very attentive and caring. I reacted badly to the anesthetic but JoAnn, Sam and Rick were right there for me. Nurse Sam was good but quite busy with 3 palliative patients having arrived prior to me. Evening nurse wasn't quite as attentive. In fact, I felt totally ignored on 3 separate occasions. The CNA, Cathy, was good. Always quick to respond to my needs. BUT in Heather's defense come Midnight and I was having breathing issues, she was prompt and helpful, calling Respiratory Denise ____?
(AWESOME) for help. Heather checked on me again at 3 a.m. and twice later til her shift change. I'm sorry I had to have such an urgent request to get her attention but she did step up to the plate after that.
My pain level was mostly 2 for the two days I was there And except for a sinus headache hours after the surgery (a definite 9), I used very little pain meds. My nausea was unfortunate but with their help that subsided. Sam was quick to suggest the anti-nausea med Dr. Beuerlein had prescribed.
I would definitely go back to this hospital. Beautiful facility and 99% of the staff was FANTASTIC!
