Businiess name:  Sandy Animal Clinic

Review content:
Warning, do not take your beloved pet to this clinic if they need anything more than a simple vaccination. They can not handle it. We took our dog there after he had a major seizure. After waiting a long time in the exam room and listening to the staff socialize in the back, we went out and asked for help. We were told they did not consider this to be urgent. Things started going from bad to worse and finally a tech came in. Eventually a vet came in. We were told he would be taken in the back and treated and that we should come to pick him up by 4:30 p.m. She assured us she would call if there were any problems. We called in the afternoon to see how he was doing. They basically told us that he was not doing well and that we needed to take him somewhere else. We rushed over only to discover that he had been having major seizures all day and that they were clueless. The staff showed zero concern or compassion. They could not have cared less. We got him to an emergency hospital on 82nd street. They were amazing there. They saw us immediately and started treatment. They had him diagnosed in 10 minutes. At this point, Sandy animal clinic called us on our cell phone to tell us the 2nd clinic would not be getting the results of the blood work they had done because the Sandy animal clinic had ""lost it"". Sadly, it was too late for our dog. After the lack of diagnosis and treatment all day at the Sandy animal clinic he had to be euthanized. Our devastation was beyond belief. We have owned dogs for a total of 42 years. Never in this time have we ever seen such a lack of compassion and level of incompetence that we saw at the Sandy clinic.
