We had so much fun! Don't let looks decieve (or deter) you from Adventure Playground. I will admit that at first sight it's, well, rather shabby and dangerous looking. Push past that and give it a try. I swear you and your young ones will be glad you did. Come dressed to get down and dirty-long pants, sturdy shoes and socks, etc. Also, much of the play area is in full sun so sunglasses, hats and so on are helpful. Then get in there and try everything! There is the coolest thing-a zip line-at the back of the play area. You climb up to this platform, scooch to the edge and jump off, holding on to this sturdy swing like thing. Then ZIP! off you jet towards the other end of the wire rope and a big pile of sand. A little sand down your back is more than worth the exhilaration of the ride! Parents can ride too. Try it-seriously. It's safe-even the littlest and the most fearful riders managed to make it onto the swing. Even if someone did somehow manage to fall there is a good depth of cusioning sand under the entire run. That's just the start! Roll downhill in a barrel, climb ropes and nets, then collect items to trade in for tools, wood, nails, saws and paint to construct something or add to an existing structure. So much to do, so little time... It's educational, fun, confidence building, hands on, interactive and, best of all, it's FREE!!! We're going back for my daughter's tenth birthday. One adult can bring up to three children. Come prepared to supervise and interact! Pros: Fun Cons: Sometimes crowded, some kids not well supervised.
