Review content:
My husband and I recently used your company and wish we could write a positive review. Unfortunately we can not
recommend this company and have been sharing our opinions with anyone that will listen. Our experience was very unfortunate while still pricey.
My husband received an estimate prior to our move and we were reassured our 50 boxes and our son's "play dome" if we split in half would fit on the truck.
Well here is what happened. My husband and I moved all of our boxes ourselves because we had the time to do so. Knowing we did this we assumed our move would go smoothly as just the furniture would be left. Well after five hours of being at our house and wrapping furniture and packing the truck we were asked to come back for a final walk through. Upon arrival I was shocked at what I had seen. There were cigarette butts thrown all throughout the property and on our walkway up to our front door. We were then informed that our outdoor dining table and "play dome" were not fitting on the truck. When I told them that we were told it would fit especially because all of our boxes had been moved, they then decided to strap them both to the back of the truck. As this was happening two men were screaming and cursing at each other in front of the house for ten minutes. Finally the truck drove the half mile to my new house which took 25 minutes but it's only a three minute drive at most. Upon arrival the two men then continued the same argument in our driveway again for about ten minutes.
After the argument, my husband and I helped to unload the truck as the move was going unbelievably slow. We also helped unwrap our furniture and rugs again because of the lack of motivation to complete the job. As my husband and I were rushing to finish our move we were asked several times by one of your men if we could go out to buy cigarettes and vitamin water for him. Finally at 5 o'clock were we completely frustrated with Men on The Move that we signed our paperwork and called it a day. Three hours of unloading a truck and "setting up" our furniture was clearly more than enough time. Unfortunately we had to assemble a lot of our furniture ourselves.
Clearly we are terribly disappointed with the lack of professionalism, work ethic, price, and lack of job completion.
Hiring a moving company is a large expense and requires a great amount of trust. All we can say is that we payed the expense.
