Review content:
When I first met Sal at Rancho Transmissions & Automotive, I immediately felt that I could trust him. He's an honest guy, and he runs a honest business. I first went to them when my 2005 Tahoe wouldn't go into gear. I had a feeling my transmission was gone, and I immediately worried about what I was going to do. I know it's a big job, and it's expensive.
I found Rancho through an online search. I saw they had some good reviews, so I called Sal. I explained what my problem was, and he immediately gave me a price and how long the repair would take. I knew right then and there that this guy is a good, honest mechanic. He knew what he was talking about without seeing the car, and his price was much better than other shops I talked to.
I brought another car of mine over when I thought there was something wrong. He told me the car was fine and that nothing needed to done at that point. That showed me that he has integrity. Then two weeks later, the transmission in my wife's car went out. We had it towed over to Sal. He gave us the price, and he did the work in the time he told us. He also did some additional work on the car, but overall it was within the price range we could handle. I know it would have been much more expensive if we went to the dealer.
Since then I've taken my Tahoe back for an oil change, so I've had some good experiences in a pretty short period of time! Another thing is that when I originally brought my car in the first time, it was around Halloween. They had this big party in the shop for their customers and their families. They had it completely transformed into a big party room with decorations and everything. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it.
I also found out that my neighbor across the street, who works on muscle cars and does a lot of the work himself, brings his Mustang to Sal. I would definitely go to Rancho Transmissions & Automotive for any problem! I have six cars myself, and I wouldn't hesitate to bring any of them to Sal. I'm comfortable that whatever the problem is, he will be able to diagnose it. He's upfront!
