I have been taking my animals to Dr Gelfand and his staff for over 15 years. Now that I live in Suffolk County I still drive 45 minutes back there to bring my animals for care. 2 situations come to mind - first, when my dog had puppies and wasn't acting right the next evening at 8:30 pm, I called and they told me to come right in - even though they were closing and I was 45 minutes away! They waited for me and took care of my dog and all of her babies. Just last night I was there with one of my dogs who need an x-ray and was put under anesthesia. I saw him in the back room as he was waking up. He was placed on a towel and two techs were sitting with him and petting him as he woke up. I was so pleased to see that they didn't just throw him in a cage to wake up confused all by himself. As far as prices, all vets are expensive. All Creatures gives me a 10% discount because I bring them multiple pets. They are also open on Sundays. Thanks All Creatures!
