BEWARE!!! I had been trying to find a shop in town that I could take my car to whenever we had troubles, and THOUGHT I found that with Transmission Doctors in Columbus, GA on River RD. I saw good reviews, so I figured okay, great! I took my vehicle into Transmission Doctor with two specific problems. When I got the vehicle back, the two problems were STILL there plus a plethora of other things were wrong with the vehicle; the SAME day I got it back from this shop! The vehicle was in such terrible condition that we couldn’t even drive it that night. It was, however, drivable before we brought it in!
Come to find out, it was just a pump the entire time that was causing all of our problems. But they charged us an arm and a leg for "transmission work" because we didn’t know any better at the time. It just goes to show you how quickly you can be ripped off when you don’t know what is what with your vehicle. Lucky for us, we have a mechanic in the family that came to help us, unfortunately he lives hours away.
I admit, I myself was naive going into this thinking they were genuinely helping me. Looking back at it now, I will never, EVER use them again, and I will tell anyone who asks to never use them and look elsewhere!
