Review content:
I was originally going to give 5 stars to the tech, but I decided to rate my entire experience instead. The technician from Econo Air was very helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous. His professionalism exceeded my expectations. But that's where the party ends. My complaint is not with him, but with the people in charge of pricing. My AC was not working and the the company charged me $2700 to replace about $200 worth of parts. They charged me $1090 to replace a motor that only costs about $120 online. (First Choice Y4644 motor) They also charged me for a compressor booster kit ($895) that I found out later is a $10 - $20 part online. I was also charged $700 for a fan booster kit, which is just another $20 part. I was offered a cheaper option of $1595, which included the two boosters only, but I was told that this was just a "patch job" and will only last through the winter. So, I agreed that this was not a good option for me. I understand this is partially my fault because I should have done more research before I agreed to the service, but It still bugs me that companies like EconoAir like to take advantage of people like me in these situations. I will never do service with Econo Air again.
