Bright Now said I needed 2 root canals and they could do it the same day. They brought me a bill $3200 for 2 root canals and 2 crowns. After my mini heart attack (haha) I told them to go ahead because it needed to be done either way. When he went to numb me I had an intense pain that spread out like a lightning bolt and then slowly numbed away. After he finished he said I needed to come back to finish up and that would be another hour and a half procedure. (WTH) I am not done! He handed me a prescription for Tylenol 3 and said I probably wouldn't need it. After the numbness had worn off I was in very intense pain. I HURT! SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT AND I AM READY TO RIP ALL MY TEETH OUT OF MY HEAD! Well the dentist said the temp. crown just needed to be grinded down a little and then I would be fine. I went home. I WASN'T FINE! Every hour that went by seemed to get worse. I HURT! SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT AND I AM READY TO RIP ALL MY TEETH OUT OF MY HEAD! They had me come back in. They said come in at 3. The dentist then said we don't have time to finish the root canal. I will take off the temp. and see what is bothering u. Well when he went to numb me I felt a pain like no other before. I immediately burst out in tears and made funny noises to get him out of my mouth! The SHARP pain went up to my eyes, into my mouth and down my neck. I told him how extreme that was. Then I started to feel tingling down my neck with the sharp pains. He ended it saying there was tissue left behind and this is where your pain was coming from. I told him "" PLEASE GIVE ME SOMETHING GOOD TO TAKE CARE OF THE PAIN JUST UNTIL TOMORROW IN CASE THIS DIDN'T WORK. THE AMOUNT OF PAIN I HAVE BEEN IN SINCE FRIDAY IS UNBEARABLE AND I HAVEN'T SLEPT"". He said I would be fine and he fixed the problem. Well needless to say everything was beyond worse! I called them at 2:00 in the morning and left a message (while crying uncontrollably) that he should of gave me something and now I am in pain from hell. Ended up going to the ER. Well, when he gave me the shots to numb my mouth he hit the nerve. The nerve that goes to your eyes, mouth, and neck. She said this is the worst pain a person can feel. This nerve is a horrible one to hit. Now I have a pinched nerve. Well the dentist office didn't call me back until 3:30 on Thursday!! They left a message, seeing how I was knocked out from all the pain meds. I am now still on an ungodly amount of 2 pain medications to take care of the pain. My doctor said it could take weeks, months and in some rare cases, the pain may never go away....Now the pills have me on a weird schedule. I am either zonked and there is no waking me up or I am awake all night like tonight. If I don't take the pills right on time I am crying until the pain goes away. I am furious! I am frustrated! I am scared! This all has been a nightmare! Met with office manager. He wanted me to see another dentist there. I told him I don't want to come back there. He kept pushing that. I said I am not doing anything to my teeth until this pain goes away. I asked for a refund under the circumstances and he said he would take off the price of the crowns. I told him that they only did half of the root canal and I still have another hour and a half left of that so if anything they can only charge half. He said they don't do that. He kept full charge of the root canal and full charge for the core build up but even that fell of the next day after seeing the dentist. So right now I have nothing on those two molars. He took a total of $1800 off the bill. $900 per crown. He also told me they don't have options for different crowns which is why they didn't offer but somehow my neighbor saw the same dentist and her crown was only $300 for the same tooth as one of mine.
