Review content:
The first evening sudden pounding on my door, in the middle of an INTIMATE MOMENT with my BF! I run to the door, look through the peephole, see it's maintenance men, ask through the door what they want, they say they have to come into the room right away and fix the lock. I reply that it is simply not possible and that there is a very private moment going on, and one guy tells me, ""If you don't open the door within 10 minutes, I am coming in anyway."" I can't even believe what I'm hearing.\r
\r
We wrap up in towels, the entire evening ruined, and open the door to three maintenance men with screwdrivers who loudly work on the door as light pours in from the bright hallway and they as well as guests walking by stare into what was a few moments before a darkened romantic and private hotel room and two unclothed formerly happy people wrapped in towels.\r
\r
The next day I return to the hotel, and the door key doesn't work! They told me the night before that they had to be totally disruptive and couldn't wait so the key would work the following day, and the following day I insert key, nothing! Now locked out of my room and running late, I go to the front desk, and their machines to fix the keys don't work! Getting later and later, finally the guy who made the smart comment lets me into the room, saying he was there working on it ""all night"". But he had to interrupt us right in the middle of our time alone and couldn't wait.\r
\r
I then receive a call from the general manager, saying I have to have ""service"" in the room whether I like it or not (I had declined it for the day) and saying that it is required that an employee enter each guest's room every two days (later shortening that statement to one day after I pointed out that I had only been in the hotel for a single day). I said I didn't appreciate this harassment, and she KICKS ME OUT of the hotel! KICKS ME OUT!!! Because of my ""attitude"" (apparently she expected cheerful)!
Cons: The most abhorrent treatment by a hotel staff that the customer service reps in the complaint department had ever heard of
