Review content:
Typically I am nothing but happy with S&S, but unfortunately my most recent experience was not as great. In the past five weeks I have had my car in my possession for maybe five days - other than that it has been at S&S having several repairs done. My problem is not with the work that was done; I will be the first to admit that I know nothing about cars or how to fix them. And, although it took an exceptionally long time to do all of the repairs, my problems is also not with that. My problem is with the fact that with the exception of one phone call made by Allen, I had to call to check on the status of my vehicle every single time. I work thirty minutes away from home, five days a week. I have one car. It would have been nice to get a call once a day letting me know what was happening, the status of my car, and if I was going to need to find a way to work or not. It is extremely inconvenient to find a ride for work at 8 a.m. the next morning when you don't even know you need one until 5:30 that afternoon only after you have called yourself. To me, a simple phone call is common courtesy. Also, I was extremely unhappy when I finally picked my car up only to find it on E with the gas light on. I dropped the car off with over half a tank. I understand it had to be test driven several times throughout the month, but would it have been that hard to at least put a few dollars of gas in it? Not only was it on E with the gas light on, but I didn't know until AFTER I got in my car to drive home. (Mind you, this is after S&S had already closed and I had $4 cash with me leftover from paying for the repairs. I actually had to have a friend bring me money to put gas in my car so I could get home). I hope this is not the way business will be handled from now on, because I do appreciate the guys at S&S, but, I also appreciate common courtesy.
