What a joke these people are. They're trying manage every rental property in the area. I would rather be homeless. Been homeless before.. Would do it again before renting from Silverheels. My Mother lives at Jaycee Estates which is section 8, but silverheels manages it. Silverheels handbook and HUD handbook contradict each other. They have inspections, but a month before the hud inspection, they start inspecting once a week, inspecting inspections to make sure HUD can't say anything. There was black mold in a hallway, instead of fixing the issue, they took a rag, wiped it off, and "touched up the paint" where you can clearly see there's a leak. When you move, they try to charge you for "damages" or missing things that were never there. HUD handbook states thats illegal, unless the apartment is not habitable. I don't think a closet door guide that was never installed makes an apartment uninhabitable. They use "seconds" carpet, which HUD states its supposed to quality carpet. This is housing for aged and disabled, and its bad enough the government funds it, and silverheels wants to make as much they can off the government and tenants while they -- everything that they do. Oh and not to mention, they will give "written warnings" which goes in a tenants file (you can only have 3 before eviction) for people coming to visit.. not to live there without being on the lease, but I'm talking about a visitor. I come and check on my Mom, and do things for her everyday, or almost everyday, and she got a written warning over me coming to visit. Theres more drama and gossip in Jaycee Estates than 20 high school girls. Silverheels also likes to tell tenants who have complaints "if you don't like it, then move"... what a joke!
