Polly's Shell Service Center will not repair your vehicle properly, will over charge you and take your money.
My daughter is a student in Nashville. I live four hours from her. I called a mechanic in our hometown and he referred us to Polly's. I called Polly's and the mechanic that we were referred to see no longer works there. We thought that we would try them due to not knowing anyone else. October 1st they said the truck was overheating because the waterpump was leaking. Dale at Polly's said he would need to replace the waterpump, timing belt, a/c belt, p/s belt and alt belt. We also needed a new p/s pump & pressure switch. That came to a total of $1300. Again, I had to trust that this was what the truck needed and the information that he was giving without seeing the leak.
The truck continued to run hot a week later after she drove across town. My daughter took it back to Polly's on the 28th of October. Dale said that it was leaking somewhere else now and put stop leak in it and charged an additional $116. The truck is still running warm and leaking. She was able to drive slowly on a cold day to come home for Thanksgiving and we took it immediately to our mechanic. Our mechanic took the cover off and called us to show us that the waterpump had NOT been replaced and still leaks, there was no gasket used, the timing belt had not been put on/calibrated properly it was off a few degrees, the radiator was stopped up completely from the products that were put in to stop the leak and there were missing bolts in some of the parts.
After calling Dale at Polly's and asking if he was going to assist with the $650 that we are going to have to pay to get the repair done properly, he refused and became very agitated, telling my husband, "suck my a$$".
I have receipts, pictures and the old parts now. My advice is that if you don't want to have your 19yr old college student broken down dangerously in the middle of Nashville rush hour traffic due to incompetent crooks....
