My child was a patient of Richard Mandelaris for 7 years; however, this past year we experienced discrimination with him and his office. \r

While Richard Mandelaris is an excellent dentist and we have always appreciated the care he has provided to our family, I refuse to take my children there any longer because he promotes discrimination.\r

Our family has California's Healthy Family Delta Dental and because it is "government insurance" we can not have an afternoon appointment, as those appointments are "reserved for non-government issued insurance".\r

Trying to discuss this policy with Mandelaris he simply stated that the policy was not up for discussion and will not be changed under any circumstance. \r

The front office receptionist stated that the afternoon appointments were in high demand and that they are reserved for patients that have employer paid insurance or self-pay insurance.\r
