Review content:
I visited Embrace Salon for a haicut and style with TJ as a new client. When I arrived, I had to wait 30 mins because TJ, the stylist, was running behind schedule - which I accomodated without comment. I was surprised when I was charged $80 for a service I expected to be only $50, but accepted as a new patron.
I decided to give the salon a second chance, however, when I was returning for my second visit, the weather was bad, and I called en route, about 20 miniutes before my visit, to let them know I would be about 5 minutes late. I was told that I would have to re-schedule if I could not arrive on time. I reminded the associate I was calling out of courtesy and expected to be within 5 mins of my appt time. I reminded them of my previous visit, and was told that although they were sorry, this preference was only given to certain clientele, and I would not be afforded this courtesy. They offered me an appt at a further date.
If TJ cannot run his salon more professionally, or hire associates with a more courteous process, then the salon will not be successful. I have since found a fabulous stylist and salon which cares and caters to the needs of the patrons.
My recommendation - for the cost and personality, this salon is not worth it-- keep looking!
