I would highly recommend this place to everyone! This place is such a GEM!!! My boyfriend and I came across this place by accident one day after we went to the SF zoo because we wanted to just drive along the coast. We stopped because we were curious about the rates(I figured we likely were not going to end up doing it because horseback riding on the beach is usually $65-$100/hour). We were thrilled to find out that it was $50 for one hour! The gentleman who greeted us at the front, set us up with our liability forms and got us on horses right away. Now I have to say, especially for the price, that this was by far, the most beautiful trail I have ever been on while horse back riding! Not only that, but we spent a good chunk of the time actually on the beach and walking through the water. The trail starts off going down a little cliff/mountain, and the ocean is literally right to your left. It was incredible! 90% of the time the ocean was visible to the left from the trail we were riding along. The horses seemed pretty spunky, and thrilled themselves to be going out on the trail also. I was also happy to find that our guides weren't too strict and we didn't have to stay in a single file line the entire time. We were able to kinda go out on our own pace along the beach. This I think was so much more relaxing in compare to other horse back rentals when the guides are constantly on you about staying right next to them(especially when you are an experienced rider). My boyfriend, and family, and I will be returning to this ranch very soon! This is our new summer spot!
