If you do not care much about appeal in a room, and you care more about just having a place to lay your head, then this place is OK. They have tried to rennovate in the past several years, but I find this hotel dark inside. Several of my out -of -town friends have stayed here and they did not have a good report. They had a stained carpet and the linens did not seem fresh. The property manager is very nice and a sweetheart, but I can not say that for the rooms. I have tried eating in their restaurant several times and it is empty. One time when I went, the cook was not scheduled to show for dinner until 8 pm, and another time, they only had 3 selections available on the entire menu. They were out of everything else! The redeeming factors for this hotel are the location and price. You can get a room for about $60 and you just walk onto Hollywood Blvd. from the hotel to all the galleries, restaurants and stores. PROS: price and location CONS: rooms are dark and not that clean
