I took my 11 yr old male siamese for an ultrasound on a Thursday afternoon. The vet found a chat and proceeded to aspirated it. He said the cyst was on the tip of his liver and if it were his pet, he would have it removed at some point in time. He stated that my pet was in excellent health, so there was no rush to have it done. He told me to have it aspirated every six months. Less than 24 hours later, my precious baby was dead!!! I took him back to this vet hospital and they told me that he had no pulses in his hind legs and there was nothing that could be done to save him. The vet tried to tell me that he threw a blood clot. I have worked din the human medical field for 50 years and know that you may throw a clot to the lungs, brain or heart, but I have never heard of a clot blocking the circulation to both legs at once! He was strapped down for the ultrasound and aspiration of the cyst and I firmly believe that he was strapped down too firmly and that is what occluded the arteries in his hind legs. I, of course, cannot prove that fact. I told the vet that I wanted to hold him in my arms when she put him down. When she didn't bring him to me, I went in the back. She met me and quickly said he was passing at that moment. When I went to him, she told me she had given him a small sedative. Sedation is what they give an animal to put them down. Therefore, she put him down before I even went back. I scooped him up in my arms thinking he was breathing his last. I held him for a long time to say my good byes. When she came back into the room,I asked her to check for a heart beat so I could be sure he was definitely gone. She made the mistake of stating that she already had. Since she hadn't touched him since I took him off that table, she had already put my precious baby down before I had taken him off the table!! I loathe her for that!!!!! I would never recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone!!!!!!!!!!
