Review content:
A friend and I lunched here for a girls day out and I must say, we had a fabulous time. The service was impeccable and the garden patio is absolutely stunning. I highly recommend reserving a seat on the patio, especially on a beautiful day (which is pretty much every day in Los Angeles). I had the iced watermelon and cucumber soup which was delicious - it's very light and refreshing on a hot day. The wine list is also incredible and though the prices are steep, they are well worth it. I should also note that the concierge were very helpful, even though we were not guests of the hotel they were happy to help us get reservations at a local spa, and even provide directions for our driver. I can't understand the negative review below mine - I too have dined at some of the finest restaurants in the world, and the chef at the Peninsula is as good as he is purported to be, arguable one of the best in the world. I am certain that the location and ambience have also contributed to the success of the restaurant but if the food wasn't exquisite, you can be certain that it's reputation would suffer.
Pros: Stunning Ambience, Stellar Service, Scrumptious Menu and excellent wine list
Cons: Expensive parking (you have to valet), not a place to bring the kids
