Three movers were contracted to move my family from Maryland to West Virginia on June 30 2014; a three bedroom home and workshop with about 150 boxes. They began late and one mover accidentally broke a window when a bookcase collapsed and broke to the floor. The bookcase was in the process of being disassembled, which was a service provided by the company according to their contract. No one was in the room except the mover when this happened. The mover apologized and we didn't hold him responsible for the bookcase, just the window. The company was notified IMMEDIATELY and they said it would be "taken care of." The truck sounded like it needed service and one mover admitted that the engine had problems and it got a flat halfway to our new residence. My husband and I joined in to unload the boxes once they arrived because it was taking too long and it was very late in the evening.
