Review content:
I'll start with the positives: the place is very clean, the small, home-like setting is nice, and the teachers are great (my daughter still talks about two of them even though we no longer attend). But, that is where the positives ended for me.
I was told several things during my tour that turned out to be very untrue. One example: I was told that there would be a gradual transition to the next classroom level, that could take as long as was developmentally appropriate for my child as an individual. Not true. I was given a transition letter one week and the next week, my daughter was expected to be settled in the big room with the older children.
I was given almost constant NEGATIVE feedback from the director, while being given POSITIVE feedback from the classroom teachers. My daughter is no angel, don't get me wrong. She doesn't always like to share, she might scream when she gets excited, she has an occasional "accident" in her panties, and sometimes she just doesn't want to take a nap. But she's THREE! For a person making a living working with children under the age of 5, the director was very uneducated and, at times, highly inappropriate when it came to dealing with these normal toddler behaviors. I was even told, and I quote, "We are having to take {her} to the potty every hour! I'm not even sure who is being trained here!" Not quite the encouragement you hope to hear from the people caring for your potty-training toddler, in my opinion.
There are many wonderful daycare/pre-school programs in this area and this is not one of them. Based on my experience, I would not recommend it to others. Take the advice of this Mom and look elsewhere!
