Review content:
So I have been taking our dogs to SFVS for years. Most of their doctors have been amazing especially Dr. April LeBlanc who sadly has left for another practice. Yes, they are really really expensive but when you have a very sick pet you will pay anything right? But here's a caution: If you happen to get Dr. Anderson, run the other way or demand another doc. She has attitude plus. She has zero bedside manner and considering she ought to be used to bereft dog owners, why is that? She is rude and unwilling to tolerate any discussion of treatment. It's her way or the highway. Our dog waited over 24 hours at SFVS for a simple ultrasound and her answer as to when it would happen was, ""When I get to it."" At a rate of about $1000/day, I think that's unprofessional to say the least. The staff as a whole are talented but it seems they never have time to call you back. Our dog died there unnecessarily because she wasn't monitored carefully enough. Dogs die every day and vets are not miracle workers I know.
Pros: they are open 24/7
Cons: expensive and limited communication
