Review content:
I'll admit that I was a bit skeptical a few years ago when this restaurant changed owners (from parents to son) and identities (from the traditional Yen King to the newer, hipper Shanghai Bistro). However, I also have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised. You can still get Chinese favorites (ask if they'll make the sizzling rice soup) as well as edgier fare, most notably sushi. While pricier than the regular entrées, the sushi and sashimi platters are still reasonably priced -- not to mention fresh, well-prepared and delicious. Shanghai has been a very welcome addition to the localrestaurant scene.
