We chose Choate's after getting two estimates to replace the evaporator coil in our attic HVAC unit. Their price was significantly lower than a competitor (but not so low to make me skeptical of the quality of their work) and signing up for their annual service plan brought it down another 20%. The technician who did the estimate was very friendly and informative, and he stopped by on short notice to install a new 4" air filter for me in between jobs since our old one was worn out. He also called the local Trane distributor and found out which local company had installed the unit a few years back, so that I could do my due diligence to see if the labor to replace it would be covered, along with the coil itself. I didn't interact much with the guys who installed the new coil, but they seemed knowledgeable. So far, our HVAC system is working much better than it had been for the past year (well before we knew there was a problem - make sure you get your system checked regularly and learn from our mistake!). I was glad Choate's could fit us in quickly and get the problem fixed before we had to go more than a few days without air conditioning.
