Review content:
I called Applewood because I had a lead between the water meter at the street and my home.\r
When the service person came to my house I had already dug 4 ft of a hole in my front yard.\r
I told him what the problem was. I asked if he could locate the leak. He said they normally just dig a hole near the meter and a hole near the house and run a new line. Hmmmm. So he got on the phone and talked to someone else - said the house was no more than 40 ft from meter (it is actually 30 - no he never bothered to get a measuring tape. In fact he never stepped off the sidewalk.) Yet- he quoted me a price of $10,281.25. What a lunatic.\r
I was already 4 ft down so I kept digging. Another 2 ft and I reached the water line and some water. Started digging 6 inches under the waterline and learned the leak was coming from a valve where the sprinker hooks into the main. The main did not have a leak at all. $160 in parts and the problem is fixed.\r
If I would have been stupid enought to tell the Ap
