I made a reservation online and arrived at 10am to pick up the car. It wasn't ready. So I go home and wait for the car to show up. At FOUR IN THE AFTERNOON the car finally arrives - YES THAT IS SIX HOURS AFTER I WAS ORIGINALLY SUPPOSED TO GET THE CAR. \r \r A week later I have been driving this piece of c**p around looking for a new car to buy when I go out Valentine's Day night and park my car at a meter (it was 6:30pm, so no worries). When I get back to the car I turn the key in the lock and what do you know the KEY BREAKS IN HALF. The key was bent when I got it, but I had no idea it was about to break off in my hand. So I call the North Hollywood number expecting some kind of after hours number for help. Nope. Nothing, just a voice mail saying their hours. So I call the Pico location. Same thing. I call information and get the 800 and the corporate number. No pick up, but a message saying if you need roadside assistance call the number on your receipt. I look at my receipt stowed in my bag and again what do you know, THERE IS NO ASSISTANCE NUMBER. So I give up.\r \r At 9am the next morning I get a call from North Hollywood. What is wrong, where is the car. I explain what happened the night before. The guy asks, ""Why didn't you call last night?"" which is amazing because I clearly said when I called on the message. I tell him the car will have a ticket on it because I parked there at night and now it was way past the time when the meter was active. He angrily tells me all tickets are my responsibility. Insane. So he says he'll send a guy with a key, he'll be there in 10 or 15 minutes. An hour later the guy arrives with an entirely different car.\r \r I got a car this morning and returned the car this afternoon. I didn't want to do business with their company every again. He said he didn't want my business either which, honestly sounded about right considering how he behaved over the last week. \r \r Oh, and for 10 days it cost me over $300. Go to a real car rental place. Pros: None. Cons: Horrible customer service, really sh**ty cars, no working assistance line.
