2 cars went into FIRESTONE for an oil change...2 cars came out needing serious repairs. My husband and I took both cars in for a simple oil change (or so you would think). After having picked up the first car (a 2002 Toyota Corolla) from Firestone 3 days prior, we were driving from the Mohave Desert when the check oil light came on. We popped the hood and found that the oil was bone dry and the bumper blackened from burning out all of the oil. The engine had to be completely replaced. The most expensive oil change ever - $3,000!!!\r

Then, 1 day after replacing the engine in the first car, our other vehicle began smoking when driving down the highway. We pulled over to the side of the road and popped the hood only to find the FIRESTONE mechanic's tools still laid up on the dash AND the air filter completely unattached from the engine!!! We charged into Firestone irate only to be subdued with laughs and jokes and a $90 bill to "diagnose" the issue. The shocked expressions on our fac
