Eau Claire long has struggled to revive its downtown, and I was thrilled a few years ago when Crossroads Moved downtown from a location several miles away in a strip-mall. Crossroads is a locally owned business that will delight book lovers, whether they're seeking paperback mysteries or obscure history titles. Crossroads mainly specializes in used books, but carries some new volumes, particularly those by local authors. The staff is always friendly and helpful (they've often gone out of there way to help me find a book). Crossroads also deals in specialty books: True bibliophiles will drool over their autographed first additions. Another plus for book lovers: They will buy your used books and give you store credit.
