WOULD NOT RECOMMEND: There have been 4 separate documented [time-stamped photos, videos and documentation] water related incidents resulting in flooding in our own unit between May 16 and July 4, 2014, one resulting in water pouring from wall sockets, fire alarms and electrical fixtures. Discussions with tenants in other buildings in this complex indicate similar experiences and we are concerned that these infrastructure issues may be systemic. I have filed a complaint with the Henderson Building Inspection Office. Further, management’s handling of this event has been condescending and appalling – the attitude being ‘deal with it and don’t be late on rent’. The four events:\r 1. May 16, 2014: A “slab leak” involving the hot-water pipe leading from our water-heater to the front bathroom resulting in flooding of hot water in my son’s bedroom and bathroom. This incident resulted in ten large holes being made in the walls throughout the apartment which were present for several days and an elevated electrical bill.\r \r 2. June 24, 2014: The failure of a water line supplying a toilet in the apartment above us resulting in water pouring from a wall-socket in my sons bathroom, the fire alarm in the hallway [which was not replaced until July 1], the air ducts in the dining room and from the framework in hall closet - all of which is on video and photographed as it occurred. The result of this incident was the placement of ""drying"" equipment whose disruptive noise prevented Quiet Enjoyment of our rental property for several days.\r \r 3. July 1, 2014: The flooding of the area below our air conditioning unit, with alleged “condensation” standing up to two inches deep in the three foot by five foot area below the unit which then seeped through the wall soaking the carpets in the hallway and living room below the electrical outlets there. Our television and PS-3 were wet but fortunately still usable. The result of this incident was the return of above noted equipment and the disruptive environment that prevented Quiet Enjoyment of our rental for several days. \r \r 4. July 4, 2014: Heavy leaking from the apartment upstairs’ water heater, located above our air conditioning unit resulting in water running down the wall containing electrical outlets. The result was the return of the noisy and disruptive drying equipment that has disrupted further our quiet enjoyment of the property. \r \r On July 5 we were issued an eviction notice for failure to pay for these substandard living conditions while repair work is taking place and parts of the apartment are unusable – also time-stamped photographed for presentation as public record in complaints and litigation.\r \r Given our experience as well as similar apparent experiences related to us by tenants in other buildings within this complex, concern with the possibility of mold, and the apartment management’s condescending handling of the affair we cannot in good faith recommend this property to anyone.\r
