Businiess name:  Boris, Marvin, Md - Autism Associates
Review by:  J P.
Review content:
We went to Dr. Boris because our son has PDD, a form of autism, and although Dr. Boris is an allergist and immunologist, he was also known as a "DAN" doctor. DAN doctors follow a certain protocol for treating autism that is supposed to be very helpful. He was very thorough in examining our son, did complete allergy skin testing and made up a special nasal spray to treat allergies that he had. He put him on a special gluten and casein free diet that really helped him a lot. It was nice to go to a doctor who finally understood what we were going through. We stopped going to him because although the diet worked very well, it was almost impossible to keep our son on it because he wouldn't eat after a while. Dr. Boris also wanted to treat him with Secretin, which was expensive, experimental, and our insurance wouldn't pay for it. I didn't believe in Secretin but who knows if it would have helped or not. It was just too expensive. . He was also located pretty far from where we live, so we stopped going. I think he was very good though and we were thinking of going back to him again.
